Get to Know
Originally from West Virginia and New York, I came to the Dallas – Fort Worth Metroplex in 2000. Having worked for a variety of companies (if your curious which ones check out my LinkedIn Profile) in retail management, project management, sales, sales support and marketing. Eventually I ended up at Texas Instruments where I started learning about this new thing called Community. TI had started a pilot program a year or so before I joined the team and while the program was in its infancy, there was something there…something special. This was a chance to accomplish two key objectives… support the little guy and generate some great technical content. Working with my manager and friend Aimee Kalnoskas we developed a strategy to take the program to the next level by integrating customer intelligence, weaving the program into the sales process, developing a culture-centric globalization program, adding private & internal strategies and streaming process and infrastructure. The program was a huge success and still continues to grow under its new leadership!
I’m not one who likes run-and-maintain though, and because the TI program was entering a mature state I left to join Rackspace to build a community program for them from scratch. After spending nearly a year at the Rack I left to pursue other opportunities and began offering my experiences in a consulting capacity to help clients develop ways to apply community and social media methodology to their business needs. In 2013 I began consulting with Network Product Solutions, LLC where we developed the Trusted Global Buyers Network (TGBN) a community for buyers and electrical engineers to connect, collaborate, learn, and find parts. I then served as Director of the Web Team at Thrive Internet Marketing developing digital marketing strategies for small and medium sized businesses. I then began working with Severalnines serving as a Marketing Manager and then assuming the role of VP of Marketing. In the role I oversaw all of the companies marketing, advertising, branding, and campaign activities.
I am currently working with A2 Hosting as a Marketing Manager specializing in Marketing Operations and Project Management.
I am passionate about digital marketing. I am particularly passionate about the power of what happens when you get like-minded people together to do great things. I think that if I could spend the rest of my life brainstorming, developing strategies and then training people on how to do it I’d be a happy guy.
In My Spare Time...
When I’m not driving marketing campaigns or building digital strategies I like to spend my time watching movies, gaming, and attending ComicCons around the world. I have a vast collection of SciFi collectibles that I keep in my home office. If you would like to see more just hop over to the Just for Fun page.
